They are never available. Never call you back or answer their phones during normal business hours. The doctors rush u through the lines and do not take your concerns seriously. They do not call u back with any test results. Also they make sure not to tell anyone until u need them for an emergency that they are not an walk in clinic. God forbid you need emergency service or to see a doctor right away you need to go to a hospital or drive 2 hours north to DC or Baltimore. Useless system useless facility. Most of the vets that go there are retired and I only hope they get better service than what I have received there.

After moving away from Southern Maryland, I can conclude that the Charlotte Hall VA Clinic is not a good representation of the VA. However, the Charlotte Hall VA Clinic is the epitome of negligence and under trained staff. I now live 15 minutes from a regular VA clinic that has a very friendly staff and great care. What this new VA clinic has done for me in 2 weeks is more than Charlotte Hall has "tried" to do for years.
I have never had a good experience with this clinic, while either on the phone or there in person. Everything from making the appointment to after receiving "care" is demoralizing because the staff makes you feel worse than however they are feeling that day. Of course, they always feel terrible because they don't make enough to care about what they do.
